Trance family, the next chapter of Lucent is here. Lucent: Mystic Awakening returns on Thursday, February 27 at SPIN Nightclub in San Diego — bringing two floors of trance, progressive, and hard dance with immersive spring-inspired energy, community connection, and all-night rave vibes.
If you’ve joined us for past Lucent editions featuring artists like Sneijder, Ruben de Ronde, Greg Downey, and Jody 6, you already know Lucent is where Trancension goes big: upgraded production, extended hours until close, and an atmosphere designed for dancefloor lifers.
A Spring-Infused Trance Experience
This edition of Lucent invites our community into a new theme: Mystic Awakening — where light, spirit, and sound converge as winter fades and spring begins to bloom. Expect euphoric melodies, elevating soundscapes, and a fusion of progressive and high-energy trance curated for a full-night journey.

Lucent DJ Competition — Open Slots for Up-and-Coming Talent
For Mystic Awakening, Trancension is hosting a DJ competition for a chance to open the main room. This competition gives emerging DJs a platform to showcase their sound on a world-class system at SPIN — and directly in front of the San Diego trance community.
DJ Competition Details:
- Must be 21+ with valid ID
- Mix submissions due Feb 8 at 11:59 PM PT
- Winner announced Feb 13 via Instagram
- Prize includes 9–10PM opening slot, 4-person guest list, and Trancension merch
- Not a paid gig — but a massive exposure moment
