2025 was a defining year for Trancension. From sold-out boat parties and expanded club nights to deeper community connections and global artists touching down in San Diego, this year proved that the Trance Family in San Diego is not only alive — it’s growing.
Here’s a look back at some of the biggest moments that shaped Trancension in 2025 and set the tone for what’s next.
Sold-Out Success: Trancension on the Bay
One of the biggest highlights of 2025 was the continued success of Trancension on the Bay. Our boat parties—Neon Edition in May, and Pirate Edition in August—once again sold out, bringing together over 100 trance lovers at a time for sun-soaked dancing, open-air sound systems, and unmatched community energy on the water.
From themed editions to local superstar DJ lineups, these events became a signature Trancension experience — equal parts party, gathering, and celebration of the San Diego Trance Family. The overwhelming support proved one thing clearly: the demand for immersive, community-led trance events is stronger than ever.
RISE Evolves: A New Home at Spin Nightclub
Another major milestone in 2025 was RISE officially moving to a new home at Spin Nightclub. This transition marked a new chapter for our monthly Trance Thursdays, allowing RISE to grow while staying rooted in the same community-first spirit it was built on.
With improved sound, more space to dance, and a consistent home base, RISE continued to showcase a wide spectrum of trance — from uplifting and tech to classics and harder edges — while welcoming both returning faces and new members of the Trance Family month after month.
Lucent: Global Trance, Elevated Energy
Lucent took things to the next level in 2025, solidifying its place as Trancension’s large-scale event series. Hosted at Spin Nightclub, Lucent brought two floors of music, extended hours until 4AM, and upgraded production that transformed the venue into a full-scale trance destination.
Across multiple editions, Lucent welcomed internationally respected artists including Greg Downey, Jody 6, Sneijder, and Ruben de Ronde, while continuing to spotlight local favorites like Underface, Kailey Grace, Brendan Bartels, Zesti, Dianthe, and Josh Taylor. These nights bridged global trance culture with San Diego’s local scene, reinforcing Lucent as a must-attend experience for serious trance lovers.
Community First, Always
Beyond events, 2025 was about strengthening the Trancension community. From street team growth and meetups to radio shows like Driftwave Radio and Nico Hartt’s Bloodline Radio, the year was filled with moments that extended far beyond the dancefloor.
Whether it was dancing together at festivals, supporting resident artists, or showing up for one another at shows, Trancension continued to grow as a collective rooted in connection, inclusivity, and shared love for trance music.
Looking Ahead
As we close out 2025, one thing is clear: this was a year of momentum. The support from the Trance Family, artists, partners, and crews who make these moments possible has been nothing short of incredible.
If this year taught us anything, it’s that the future of Trancension is bright — and we’re just getting started. Stay tuned for more RISE nights, Lucent returns, boat parties, and new ways to gather, dance, and grow together.
💜 Thank you for being part of the journey. We’ll see you on the dancefloor.
